They tried to combine The Thing and Alien themes and they failed. If I was watching the movie at home I would have turned it off. The plot does not draw you in, it's not scary, and the special effects are not special. If you insist on watching this wait until it's free. You won't have to wait long.

Visually great. Well acted. Some pacing and writing issues.

This movie makes no sense. Cool color or whatever but the main character was so boosted by plot armor that the actions they made and what happened to them does not align. I would not spend money to see it in the theater and just wait for it to come out on streaming platform. It likes a mix of life and color out of space but a dollar store version.

Ash was an intresting and enticing movie, definitely a good concept, but the movie felt muddled and a bit boring at times. The low budgetness is felt, but overall it did okay for what it was going for, just not the best.

I’m usually just upset at movies. I made a rotten tomato account to post about how bad this movie is. Drawn out, cliche and pointless. I want my time and money back.

this was an entertaining alien flick. the cast was well picked and created a working group environment. the plot twists were fun to follow as you thought you'd figured it out, and you were not that far off the mark. enough jump scares, and you even get to talk to the alien which was fun. I'd recommend a matinee over regular price. there was a brief lecture about humanity but wasn't overpowered w a message. fun and entertaining as it should be

Not great. this movie is not great. Not terrible, but not great. It’s really just a jumble of sci-fi horror ideas that were done better in other movies and games. The Director Flying Lotus is definitely a gamer, there’s so much Dead Space, and Bioshock in here. Speaking of that, this whole story feels more like something you’d find in an easy to miss side mission in a Mass Effect game. I will say this for Flying Lotus, the music is pretty good. I quite enjoyed the score and it really carried the movie since there wasn’t much else going on. This is another case of a lower budget sci-fi film that just ends up being two people in sci-fi outfits talking about sci-fi stuff. And of course amnesia is used to make a whole big mystery about one single incident. None of the reveals or twists feel earned or satisfying because it’s just information that was purposefully withheld from us to keep the movie going, reminded me of Don’t Worry Darling in that way. Nicole appreciated the effort from Flying Lotus, he didn’t write this so she’d definitely be interested to see what he could do with a better script. It’s a movie that wants to be trippy, deep, and clever but only succeeds at the trippy, but doesn’t even fully justify it’s trippy-ness.

Never before have I felt embarrassment over having paid money to see a film. This movie is frustratingly awful. A juvenile script that has so many cliches that it insults the intelligence of the audience. What little plot there is--is stretched out with scenes repeated over and over. The "threat" has inexplicable limitations that conveniently serve the plot. Technology works, then doesn't, then does again. Supposed astronauts act like children and do stupid things. They constantly FA and FO. Only, the audience members are the ones getting F'd. The music is ever-present and drowns out many scenes. Very often it doesn't fit the scene and rather than underscoring--it showcases itself! The director is the composer. Although some cues are beautiful, most are themselves cliches, as if he were regurgitating John Carpenter. The final exposition scenes are TEXTED to us! They and I were speechless. Shameless, pointless self-indulgence. Save a life--well two hours of one--YOURS! See something else!

This film was entertaining. What more can you ask from a sci-fi flick? The style in which it was shot, the colors, the score were all amazing. Definitely worth a watch in a theater to get the full immersing experience. Only reason I am not giving this a higher score is that the plot was a bit predictable, and some of the dialog was just a bit bland.
