Better Man
audience Reviews
, 90% Audience Score- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI had no idea who Robbie Williams was before I watched this movie but his story was so fascinating and this movie was so well done that it didn’t affect my enjoyment of the movie at all. If you like autobiographies and/or music related movies then I strongly recommend it. Also, I have seen that it is not doing well in terms of box office earnings but I would say that it is definitely worth the price of a ticket to see it in the theater.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsWhat an incredible spiritual journey and comeback. The art was beautiful in the film and I teared up several times. Highly recommended.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsSurprisingly very good movie. Didn't know anything about Robbie Williams or his music before watching this. Now I'm interested in hearing his solo songs.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI saw this movie last night and dragged my husband and daughter along to keep me company. We all loved it. The chimp isn’t a gimmick. It’s a brilliant device that just works. It helps to emphasise how Robbie feels that he doesn’t fit in with others, how he feels his development was stunted and I think you feel more empathy for him (even when he’s behaving appallingly) than you would do for an actor playing the part of Robbie. The use of music to reflect emotions and progress the story is cleverly done. There are some spectacular dance scenes. Most people talk of the epic Dance DJ street dance, but I felt the stunningly beautiful dance to She’s the One deserves most recognition. Just lovely. I can’t recommend this movie enough. I enjoy a music biopic, but this movie is so much more than your usual biopic.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsLoved the story line, confused by some of the scenes and how it got there.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsA funny, uplifting, emotional rollercoaster which completely took me by surprise. As biopics go, this is right up there with the very best.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsDefinitely worth the same. Some of the best acting.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI remember watching the trailer for Better Man, 6 months ago, and thinking, this movie looks fun, I will definitely be going to see it. It surpassed “just fun” I laughed, I cried, I smiled ear to ear, I was dancing in my seat. I absolutely loved it! It will be added to my favorite movies of all time list. I really hope more people give it a chance because it’s absolutely worth it.
