Every Little Thing
audience Reviews
, 98% Audience Score- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsTerry Masear came from an abusive, povery-stricken background, yet went on to get FOUR advanced degrees. Her real calling became rehab of Hummingbirds. Rescuing animals is a form of spirituality. This documentary is beautiful & heartfelt.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 starsCute story about amazing little birds, it was a little disappointing there was no scientific explanation on this birds life, it was more of a personal experience of Terry's long term interaction with the neat creatures! Wouldn't it be nice if citizens of our countries had the same passion for our own peoples who are being destroyed by the sick corrupt greed of corporations and cowardly in their pocket politicians!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI enjoyed this documentary very much and and enjoyed learning more about my favorite tiny birds. I am thankful everytime one comes to my feeder. They are truely a blessing and so much more important in our lives than just being a bird, as they are such a mystery and higher being. I feel blessed to recognize them and their tiny world. Thank you Terry for your work to save these tiny creatures. I thought the film, moving, and could see how these little creatures are so like humans but on another plane so to speak. More advanced. True worriers. Fierce in their plight to survive. Alert, parts of the movie are hard to watch when a tiny bird is injured, it made me feel so sad in that I feel we have failed them somehow.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsI didn't think I'd enjoy something like this but wow was is riveting. It's very well done!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsTL;DR: "Look at me, I'm a special princess from Beverly Hills. You can tell because I help hummingbirds. Look at how profound my life is." In depth: A spoiled rich lady strokes her own ego with the usual fake nature documentary melodrama. The least they could have done is provide some magic mushrooms to make it more relatable. Don’t get me wrong—I love nature and birds and have a deep appreciation for what she' doing. I always appreciate someone taking care of animals, even in this case. And even when it's not conventionally "pretty" animals like hummingbirds—spiders, insects, anything that helps cultivate and empower our ecosystems to flourish, thrive, and survive in a world where these systems are constantly under threat from modern industry and human activity. However, this was just frustrating to watch because of how out of touch these people seem with the overall state of the world and the ecosystem these birds rely upon.. It's an incredibly heartbreaking reminder of how much more is needed to catalyze the change desperately needed to prevent situations where these kinds of heroics aren't such a necessity, but most people are too concerned with their own image to paint a more accurate and much more moving picture of what's really going on and what else there is to do.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsa must see... love and compassion...
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsThe love, compassion, joy and connection she has with these smallest of GODS creatures transcends to the viewers hearts providing one a greater affinity and admiration for these aerial acrobats...Awesome footage and flight cinematography....I actually felt as if i was a HUMMINGBIRD....her voice is calm, soothing and adds to the serenity to the film as a whole....
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsWhile I rarely disagree drastically with the RT Tomatometer, I’m making an exception for this one. Beautiful videography, a caretaker, adorable tiny birds… who could ask for a better setup, right? Wrong. No narrative, no context… the protagonist is not charismatic enough to even approach being a substitute for a story. This is an incoherent set of beautiful shots of cute birds. If the filmmakers were trying to allude to something, it went way, way beyond me. This would have been an excellent short film for a school project. Just not Storytelling 101.
