True story of a person's journey for justice and equality for a better tomorrow. Hard to not be moved by this film and example of why the triumph is always worth the struggle. Take a look and share the good word - it's worth it!

A very good movie that tells one of discrimination stories. Lilly was strong, she never gave up, and her message went through. It's a movie of great hope, an encouraging message to fight for any kind of discrimination. Great cast! It brings you a lovely, private and public, glimpse of Lilly Ledbetter's life. It's a movie that deserves to be in International Festivals and that deserves to be seen by all the Lilly(s) of the world.

Beautifully told the story of the woman and family behind of a well-known historical event.

When seen through the eyes of a biography, this was (a) effective story telling in that it revealed the length of Lilly's arduous journey, and (b) told it with feature feature film quality. I see the doubt by some professional critics but as an audience member the acting, cinematography, and script were compelling. It moved quickly but hit all relevant points. The splicing in of actual footage including that or Ruth Bader Ginsberg and the floor votes, was compelling. Everyone should see this movie!

"Lilly" is a compelling movie about a resilient woman who is a role model for others who have had their rights violated. Patricia Clarkson, John Hickey, and Thomas Sadoski are stellar in their respective roles. The way the director interspersed historic footage of people such as Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Barak Obama heightens viewers engagement in this story. Kudos to all who contributed their time, talent, and funding to so beautifully capture the determination and fortitude of Lilly Ledbetter.

This story really touched me. I thought Patricia Clarkson did such a great job. I enjoyed seeing the real footage of some of the historical moments with RBG and Obama seeded into the movie. I cried at the end, when after so many years of hard work, she was finally recognized for her achievement.
