Mickey 17
audience Reviews
, 73% Audience Score- Rating: 1.5 out of 5 starsToo long and not as funny as some claim. The world "subtlety" is used to suggest there is humour but hidden. I couldn't find it which means it isn't funny for some people or not there at all. Its plot is convoluted and unnecessarily. It's as if the writers wanted to give the idea that all those things that happen on screen actually have a purpose. And they don't, unless the director's intention is to trick the audience into some kind of consensual zombie state that this is a very clever film. For those who love the journey rather than the destination, and by that i mean who love the view of distorted passing scenery from a bus window, this might be for them.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsSlightly disappointing. After watching the trailer for this movie and reading the plot, I was really excited for this movie, but after watching it, I felt a bit disappointed as I expected a much different and exciting storyline. The movie itself was not bad, it was pretty good. Robert Pattinson was incredible, the way he made Mickey 17 and Mickey 18 feel like completely different characters is just a testament to his incredible range and acting ability. Mark Ruffalo also did an amazing job as playing a snubby politician who only cares about himself and no one else, his character was extremely unlikable throughout the movie which was a good thing. I expected this movie to be about a guy, going on many adventures and dying and being reprinted each time, and for there to be this big bad. What we got instead was a "civil war" between Mickey 18 and Kenneth Marshall, and a few alien creatures who wanted peace. The acting and many scenes were done really well which made the movie enjoyable, just a little let down by the storyline. Overall this is a good movie but nothing too crazy.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsHard to follow, boring, all over the place. Felt like it was trying to be The Hunger Games, mixed with starship troopers. Worst movie I've seen in ages.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsStarted out entertaining and interesting but then just died off.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsMickey 17 is a fun twist on the clone concept. The film is funny, well-directed, and well-performed. It loses a little steam in the second half, but it's definitely a good time.
- Rating: 0.5 out of 5 starsruffalo again brings sewer smell to any movie he iz in . the story and the lame cgi of alien cowz - far from great , toni collette and naomi are a joy to watch while pattinson just makes sure in every frame to show how ugly is character is , but micky should be loveable even tho is a little ugly - that is the reason all the women in the movie want to boink him .
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsMe gusto un montón está propuesta disruptiva con tintes aveces hasta absurdos, me divertí en el cine está vez! 10/10 para Robert, lo está haciendo increíble cada vez ✨
- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsI absolutely loved the first two-thirds of the movie. Pattinson's eccentric performance is hysterically dark and subtle, while still coming across as an incredibly likeable everyman. The final third of the movie leans hard into Ruffalo's uninspired impression of a certain politician and the plot devolves into boring adventure movie cliches that feel like they're from an entirely different film than the first 2/3. However, I enjoyed the first 2/3 of the film so much that I have to recommend it. It's a lesser Bong Joon Ho film, but it still has enough of the touch of an auteur to be worth your while.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 starsRobert is fantastic.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsWhile it may serve as proof that directors tend to lose their touch after they winning at the Oscar’s, it pulls a few punches that are worth watching at least once.
