Loved this movie. I did find that it lacked something to wrap it up to make it a 5. But it was a great Christmas movie and the acting was great! And had lots of funny moments.

Red One is an absolute treat and a total holiday vibe! Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Chris Evans deliver fantastic performances, blending humor, action, and a bit of heartwarming bromance. The story gives a fresh, exciting twist to Christmas, combining festive magic with well-choreographed action scenes that really stand out. The visuals are stunning, perfectly capturing the holiday spirit with a fun, modern edge. And for holiday movie fans, there are plenty of clever nods and Easter eggs to enjoy. If you’re looking for a feel-good, action-packed Christmas movie, this one’s a must-watch. Highly recommend!

Disappointing, to say the least, given the impressive cast. This film struggles to find a clear target audience, veering between overly childish moments and unexpectedly dark tones. The premise feels tired and unoriginal, reminiscent of the 90s Batman & Robin—though lacking its iconic, if campy, charm. It's a shame given the talent involved, but this movie is unlikely to stand the test of time.

it was an ugly movie visually and the fact it wants to be a family film but has brutal violence and swears for no reason makes it an joyless and ego driven mess

Neither as terrible as most critics make it out to be, nor as delightful as a 90% Popcornmeter implies, 'Red One' is a bloated action movie with some clever and imaginative world-building. Too many characters and subplots, combined with excess CGI action, make this a slog to sit through in many ways, but the production design is often delightful, as are some of its ideas. It might work better as a graphic novel. The fact that 16 A24 movies cost as much to make as the budget for 'Red One' is a reminder that we need to shut down these behemoth productions in favor of smaller, more unique films.

I feel like it was aimed at a young male audience which is not unusual for X-Mass films. it was promoted as a family pic. it may have missed it's mark somewhat. However I think it's definitely opened the door for another type of holiday film & maybe people should go into it without the expectations of others. Let it be what it is & that's something different. maybe it's not for you but everyone doesn't want to see Miracle on 34th St. Like it or not Die Hard & Hawkeye are both X-Mass as well. I just don't think it deserves so much hate.

The reception was unnecessarily harsh. This was a wonderful holiday film. Amazon is partly to blame for this, though. This movie was released closer to Halloween so that it could stream on Amazon for Christmas. But that strategy is ruining the film's first impression. It releases when people are not in the mood for Christmas stories, then it has to go to streaming with lowered expectations. Amazon is just not a great partner for theatrical releases. It dropped the ball for Saltburn, too. It did great on Amazon, but no one even knew it was in the theaters for all of three seconds.

Fun adventure movie. You know what you are getting watching a movie with The Rock in it so don’t expect it to be winning any acting awards. Still a fun watch and worth seeing.
