Short, sharp, intense - not a single second is wasted, even in silence it's purposeful and gripping. Excellent.

Absolutely heartpounding. The tragic is well known, but the film achieves the feat of presenting a new and respectful, yet fascinating vantage point. Very similar to the slow boil in HBO’s Chernobyl: the POV that often no one’s thought about before presents viewers with an incredibly suspenseful pace with a very likeable cast.

This is an excellent, fact-based story. I learned much about the live news broadcast process and history through this expertly crafted film.

Set largely in an intense climate of journalistic ethics in a newsroom and catapult us into the palpitating heartbeat of a hostage crisis, this historical drama chronicles that fateful titular day when the ABC sports crew was morally compelled to cover the catastrophe that was eventually viewed by 900 million and made history as the first live broadcast of an act of terrorism.

An excellent reminder on the importance of what news coverage should be about.

The director of photography in this film needs to take a cinematography class. It was entirely underlit. The film also felt claustrophobic. Pretty much everything takes place in one location, a TV studio. I wish they had shown what was happening outside, where the events were unfolding.

An interesting film. It was about a news team capturing terrorists at the Olympics. The movie was very suspenseful. The actors did a good job. This was nominated for best picture - drama at The Golden Globes.

I am watching the movie again and it is bringing back vivid memories of the hours I spent glued to our tv watching this crime as it unfolds. We were one of a couple of families who had a tv, especially color, back in those days. Several of our neighbors were staying in our house for hours and hours a day to watch this. I can’t believe anyone could give this movie a bad review. Anybody who was watching the 72 Olympics, like me, was in shock as ABC Sports took over and started broadcasting this horrific crime in real time. No matter how old you are I highly recommend you watch this movie and if you have a movie library like me this is definitely a movie you will want in your collection. I have to give September 5 a double 👍👍up.
