Terrifier 3
audience Reviews
, 85% Audience Score- Rating: 3 out of 5 starsWhat felt like a promising sequel at first was ruined by a terrifyingly rushed ending.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsBoring, I expected sooo much more. Nothing so impressive, certainly not the horror of the year.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsPretty good! The gory detail was the best part
- Rating: 1 out of 5 starsThis movie was terrible. It was disgusting and so unnecessary. I had to leave early. Whoever made this movie seriously needs therapy. I hope a movie like this never comes out again.
- Rating: 4.5 out of 5 starsTerrifier 3 is, without a doubt, the most violent and grotesque movie of 2024. It holds nothing back when it comes to gore and brutality, pushing these elements to the extreme. While the first and second installments were already controversial for their violence, this third film takes it even further. For months, it was said that Terrifier 3 would be the bloodiest of the saga, one that would make people leave the theater or even vomit. In some ways, it achieved this during its premiere, raising fans’ expectations for Art the Clown. Now, having seen the movie, I can say that not only were those expectations met, but they were exceeded. With a bigger budget than its predecessors, Terrifier 3 offers a story that constantly outdoes itself, with a well-structured narrative. This time, we get several scenes from Art the Clown’s perspective, showing him performing his grotesque antics on anyone who crosses his path. At the same time, we follow Sienna, who is trying to recover from the trauma that haunts her, alongside her brother Jonathan, who is now older and more mature, dealing with the aftermath of the traumatic events of Terrifier 2. Additionally, through flashbacks, we meet Sienna’s father for the first time, which strengthens the plot and adds more coherence to the story. Although there are new characters introduced, unfortunately, they don’t get enough development before their untimely demise. Despite this, the performances are all strong, especially that of Art the Clown. Every murder he commits is a perfect blend of brutality and dark humor, creating scenes that are as uncomfortable as they are amusing, like the memorable bathtub scene. Visually, the film is striking, with a vibrant and colorful production design that keeps viewers glued to the screen. The cinematography, while effective, could have been more polished. The film is also accompanied by a soundtrack that enhances the experience and highlights key moments. In summary, director Damien Leone proves once again that Terrifier is on its way to becoming a cult classic in the horror genre, with Art the Clown solidifying his status as an iconic character, on par with legendary figures like Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger.
- Rating: 2.5 out of 5 starsUnfortunately the third Terrifier does not have the same impact that the second did. This is a gore-fest - plain and simple.
- Rating: 3.5 out of 5 starsBest in the franchise so far. I enjoyed 2, but 3 was better acted, paced, story, and it was shorter! Sienna might be my favorite final girl of all-time. Also, the 3rd act is insane and almost made me bump it up to 4 stars.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 starsTo me this is the worst of the 3 Theatrical Releases. If you don't love gore, this movie won't be for you. The problem is the story, which comes as no suprise. It's still a very good horror movie overall. David Howard Thornton is amazing as always! The scenes with him as Santa Claus are amazing! I felt like all the fantasy elements in part 2 were a bad idea. They all come home to roost here. The movie takes a long time to get going, but at the end it's very satisfying. The movie spends too much time on people we don't care about. The terrible siblings that are Art's "Nemeses" are back and they are a huge waste of time. We came for Art the Clown and the gore! The first movie was great because it was a simple slasher; tight and focused. I really hope part 4 goes back to its roots and has a simple concise story. The gore is what we all came for and it this movie doesn't dissapoint. The Shower scene is next level. I also love how Art will use a Gun and even a bomb! He really is one of the best horror Icons to date!
