Did not get the point of the movie at all. It was an okay movie. Would not see it again even if it was for free.

The plot was a twist because we went in thinking it was going to be a horror movie and it wasn’t. Was a bit slow.

Boring, uninspired, no formula at all. The ending is even more abrupt than The Sopranos. This movie will waste your time

They didn't succeed... in making a film that conveys a message of some importance using a metaphor through the suspense-horror genre... it's a very difficult operation, not impossible but truly very difficult; and in fact, the two paradigms (the message and the events of the story) remained completely dissociated, disconnected... in the end, you realize they are forcing it a lot with the intention of making you understand that it was a metaphor. ... ...Poorly written screenplay, many stretched-out, diluted, lengthened moments... useless and creating a lot of tedium. ... It's a shame because the directing is good

La película es rápido y entretenida, la historia te deja algo para la imaginación y elaborar tus propias teorías, el final no es la gran cosa y eso le quita puntos.

It starts out with a solid foundation. A immobile family cut off from communication with the world with an unexpected visitor. But as we proceed, the story its self can’t seem to pick a lane. Scattered thoughts & jump scares without meaning. You will think to yourself “well maybe that will mean something later in the movie” and you’ll be wrong. This is all wrapped up at the end with a not so creative ugly bow that leaves you with more questions than answers.

I watched it and the directer is really talanted if he is able to all this idk why everyone says its bad bc i should have a 100% on rotten tomatos or at least a 60 or 95% I was confused on the movie and why its not on peacock yet.but it was fun and scary and we NEED A SEQUEL BC I LOVE THE CONCEPT OF A MOVIE WITH A GENERIC GHOST WITH A BLANKET ON ITS HEAD BEING A VILLAN BC WE NEVER SEE THEM ANY MORE PLUS i loved the fact it was litteraly depression as a manafestation

It doesn't take long to realize the woman in the yard represents something - death or grief or suicide. After you realize she's just a symbol, the film's ability to frighten falls off a cliff.

If The Woman in the Yard was meant to terrify, it succeeded—but only in how terrifyingly bad it is. Billed as a psychological horror, it barely scrapes the surface of fear and instead plunges headfirst into bland, disjointed storytelling and laughable execution. Danielle Deadwyler, who plays the lead character Ramona, turns in a performance so wooden it could be used for firewood. Her delivery is flat, her reactions unbelievable, and any tension the film attempts to build is snuffed out the moment she opens her mouth. It's hard to be scared for a character when you're too busy cringing at their acting. Okwui Okpokwasili’s portrayal of "The Woman" is meant to be the eerie centerpiece of the film, but the only thing chilling about her was the makeup—because it looked like it came out of a Halloween clearance bin. Whatever mystery or menace her character was supposed to evoke is completely lost behind cheap prosthetics and a design that feels like a lazy afterthought. But worst of all is the story itself. It’s as if someone took a half-baked idea, stretched it to feature length, and forgot to add anything resembling suspense, coherence, or originality. You’re left wondering how on earth this limp excuse for a horror film was made by the same team responsible for the Conjuring universe. Did they lose a bet? Save yourself the time—and the ticket price. The Woman in the Yard is the kind of movie you wish you could unwatch. The only horror here is how bad it truly is.
