It has to be one of the stupidest and most boring "Werewolf" movie since, oh, let's say "Werewolves." No surprises, if we were supposed to be shocked by the end revelation then someone needs to go back to the screenplay and think. While the acting was fine, I have to admit that the daughter's voice irritated me so much I was hoping the "Wolfman" would eliminate her.

I liked this movie. My only criticism is that it was slow in the beginning. There are two corny storylines I won't get into them because I don't want to give anything away. It's a good watch.

Lacks atmosphere & fails to truly scare.

This started out well but quickly devolved. The movie is dumb. To me it came off as a twisted version of a zombie movie. Guy gets infected turns into wolf man. But not a werewolf or was it? No silver bullet used.

Good jump scares but I like my Wolfman to look more vicious and real. Kind of slow paced at times.

Wolf Man is a solid horror film! We truly live in a golden age of horror. Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner offered terrific performances that really bring to life the small family at the center of the film so that when the film shifts from drama into horror, the scares and the pathos really hit home. While I felt that in few minor places, the script could have been improved, overall the story worked quite well. The special effects were terrific and produced some nice, unsettling body horror. Director Leigh Whannel really crafts palpable tension and suspense throughout the film and repeatedly had me on the edge of my seat . Quite an impressive feat when working with such a small set of characters and not having large body count as a tool to amp things up. I was happy that I decided to go see this one in a dark theater at night - with a bright and nearly full moon overhead no less!

I'd much rather watch the 1941 classic or the 2010 remake than this pure mess.

I would advise people to take these windy films absolutely SLIM

It's definitely not "elevated horror" like the invisible man, the director's previous feature, or like Nosferatu which were critical darlings and tend to be the kind of horror movies critica applaud these days. Instead, this is just a solid, fun, monster movie. Don't expect a lot of subliminal messaging and morals and you'll have a blast with it if you take it for what it is.
