Julia Stiles
Julia Stiles was born on Mar. 28, 1981 in New York City. She kicked off a professional acting career before even entering high school, landing a recurring role on the children's mystery television program "Ghostwriter" (PBS 1992-95). Soon enough, she leaped to the world of the big screen, appearing in Alan J. Pakula's "The Devil's Own" (1997) and the thriller "Wicked" (1998) before achieving her big break by way of the high school romantic comedy "10 Things I Hate About You" (1999), an inventive adaptation of William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew. The success of the picture earned Stiles roles in further modern day adaptations of Shakespeare plays, including the Ethan Hawke-starring "Hamlet" (2000) and "O" (2001), a high school set reimagining of Othello. Going forward, Stiles starred in drama films like "Save the Last Dance" (2001) and "Mona Lisa Smile" (2003), all the while appearing in all three installments of the original Jason Bourne trilogy as the character Nicolette Parsons. Around the same time, Stiles enrolled in and graduated from Columbia University. After a one-season stint on the popular thriller TV series "Dexter" (Showtime 2006-2013) and a starring role on the web series "Blue" (WIGS 2012-15), Stiles returned to the big screen, appearing opposite Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence in "Silver Linings Playbook" (2012) and once more returning to the role of Nicolette Parsons for "Jason Bourne" (2016). Stiles then starred on the thriller series "Riviera" (Sky Atlantic 2017-) before landing a major role in the Jennifer Lopez-starring comedy/drama "Hustlers" (2019).
