Millie Bobby Brown
British actor Millie Bobby Brown became best known for her Emmy-nominated role as Eleven on the Netflix fantasy series "Stranger Things" (Netflix, 2016- ). Brown was born in Spain in 2004 to English parents. She eventually relocated to England with her family when she was four, before moving once again, this time to Orlando, four years later. Although Brown never had any interest in acting, she did join an acting workshop that took place on Saturdays while living in Orlando, because it was a fun way to pass the time and meet friends. After taking a few classes, Brown's raw talent caught the attention of a talent scout. The scout encouraged Brown's parents to take their daughter to Hollywood, where he planned on setting up some general meetings with a few of the biggest children's talent agents in town. From there, her newly acquired agent began sending the fledgling young actress out on auditions. If Millie was comfortable in a room with stodgy acting agents, she proved even more comfortable while auditioning for TV roles. And within a few months of arriving in Hollywood, Brown was cast in her first TV role on the spin-off fantasy series "Once Upon a Time in Wonderland" (ABC, 2013-14). From there, Brown was asked to audition for a British drama series "Intruders" (BBC, 2014). Brown taped her audition for the show, mailed it to the casting agent, and promptly forgot about it. So, a few weeks later, when she received a call saying she got the part, Brown was absolutely flabbergasted. She played the role of Madison O'Donnell on the series, which ran for one season and eight episodes, and credits her time on "Intruders" as graduate level acting training for the rigors of being a castmember on a TV series. After "Intruders" ended in 2014, Brown nabbed a number of guest spots on a number of popular American TV shows, including "NCIS" (CBS, 2003- ), "Modern Family" (ABC, 2009-2020), and "Grey's Anatomy" (ABC, 2005- ). Then in 2016 Brown landed her breakout role as Eleven on the Netflix fantasy series "Stranger Things." Upon the premiere of the series in the summer of 2016, Brown was singled out by both fans and critics for her riveting performance as Eleven. She would eventually go on to be nominated for two Primetime Emmys (2017 and 2018) for her supporting role on the show. In 2019, with her career already at a high point because of the huge popularity of "Stranger Things," Brown made her film debut as the character Madison Russell in the summer blockbuster "Godzilla: King of the Monsters" (2019). After the box office success of that film, Brown reprised her role as Madison Russell in the 2020 follow-up "Godzilla vs. Kong."
