Veronica Osorio
Veronica Osorio had already built a successful career in her longtime home of Venezuela before making the move to New York. Born in Florida to parents who were both of mixed ethnic backgrounds, Osorio's family relocated to Venezuela soon after, where the aspiring youngster first started acting through theater classes offered by the public library. By her teens, Osorio had joined the prestigious Skena Theater Company, and soon after college, she toured Chile, Argentina, and Venezuela with InGravidos: Circus and Dance. She even returned to Skena to teach the institution's Teen Company before making the move to the U.S. Arriving with almost no money, Osorio enrolled at the Stella Adler Studio, but soon became enamored by the comedic performances at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater. In 2009, six months after moving to her new home country, Osorio became a performer at the UCB, appearing with three of the theater's teams. She also began appearing in wildly popular and acclaimed comedy videos, such as "Manic Pixie Prostitute," "Aubrey Plaza as Dora the Explorer," and the web series "Kate's Craft Corner." After an appearance in the 2014 comedy "Const2tion" (2014), Osorio landed a big break with a role as a Carmen Miranda-esque performer in the Coen Brothers' spoof of '50s Hollywood, "Hail, Caesar!" (2016).
